Evidently, according to LiveJournal, it's been 111 weeks since I've logged in. I guess I should maybe start using my journal again? I'm honestly surprised that it wasn't deleted.

I've been spending my time living my life in the real space and trying new things. More recently, I've been experimenting with vegetarianism. The motives are to test the claims of improved health and also to see if this style of living will be sustainable. I must be doing something right... someone asked me today if I had lost some weight. I hadn't noticed, and I can't weight myself at home because I have a digital scale with a dead battery.

Here we are yet again! I'm sticking to The Total Money Makeover plan and have stopped using my credit cards. I haven't gotten to the point of chopping them into tiny bits yet but I'm looking forward to that!

So far, progress is slow but existent. I've managed to put $200 into my emergency fund so far. Just $800 more to go and I can start knocking out my debts. I sometimes find myself wishing that I received hourly pay instead of a salary so I could get some overtime! Also, being on call every other week limits my options for picking up side jobs. Anyone have suggestions for side jobs that would be compatible with being on call?

I'm trying to sell some stuff to raise money, too. I've got several speakers up for sale, so if you know anyone who needs or wants some speakers send them to me - I'm willing to ship them for a reasonable handling fee in addition to actual insured shipping charges.

I've also got a couple of lamp tables from the 60's that I'm also selling. They're solid wood and in reasonably good condition. One of them needs refinished - there was an incident where nail polish remover was spilled on the table top and it took the sealer and stain right off. If anyone's looking for a couple of handsome lamp tables, let me know.

Aside from financial matters, there are physical matters. I've been exercising quite a bit this week and feeling some good energy benfits already. I've got an eliptical at home. You probably already knew about that. With the exception of yesterday where I took a day off, I've been doing consistently 3.5 miles to 4 miles per day while watching episodes of Firefly, which I borrowed from nelle816. Thanks Lea, it's been very enjoyable so far! I'm through the first disc finally.

These are my lifetime resolutions:

1) Become financially fit. I've got a budget in place thanks to the Total Money Makeover (http://www.daveramsey.com). I will become DEBT FREE.

2) Be mentally fit. I honestly need to spend more time reading and studying just for my own personal enjoyment.

3) Be physically fit. I have a big spare tire that needs to be rolled off into permanent storage.
